Artist´s statement
Our planet is in danger! Therefore the protection of our earth is one of my most urgent theme as a painter. By painting nature and showing how destruction and pollution progresses, I try to reach a lot of people. By pointing out the beauty of nature, I would like to draw attention to what we might miss in future. I hope, people will consider how valuable our planet is. With my paintings I want to influence people, so that they will try to save our earth and will treat nature with all the respect it deserves.
It´s about time we realize what a treasure our planet is! There are a lot of problems: too much CO2, the clearing of the primeval forests, pollution,…Nature is watching us, is watching our behavour suspicially!
Don´t let nature down! Because everything is connected, don´t forget about mankind! Don´t forget about people and their working-conditions, about their being exploited and being treated unkind. In my paintings I always try to show these connections between human beings, all kind of creatures and flowers and plants.
I think our planet can only be saved, if we try to make our world a better one – a better one for nature and for people. Respect for nature and human beings go hand in hand.
