John Joseph

69 Years of age

Born in India, Kerala, in the city of Kochi.

Currently living in India and UAE.

Graduate in Philosophy from Maharaja's Collage Ernakulam.

Member, Kerala Lalith Kala Academy and

Dubai International Art Centre and other art related organisations.

Started art career in my college days (1970-73).

Works were being appreciated and recognised, right from the beginning of my art journey.

Self made artist with no accadamic backgrounds.

Have attended several workshops, group shows and solo shows in India and abroad.

Participating and participated in several exhibitions (mostly online due to Pandamic )

organised by established national and international organisations.

Due to space limits, details can be made available as and when is required.

Works mainly in acrylic, oil, watercolour, mixed media and drawing.

Collecters in India and abroad.

I have developed my own exclusive style and being recognised as unique.

Art my passion.

My works are the frames of my mind.

ARTWORK INTRODUCTION & CONCEPT NOTE :

All the works being attached here are from my " MIND FRAMES " series.

Works are inspired by the frames passing through our mind, that are subject to get

influenced by the situations caused by physical, mental and other aspects.

Environmental issues caused by the irresponsible handling and ignorance by the

respective authorities and failures in creating awareness to the public is causing

severe damage resulting in adverse climate changes that are seriously affecting

even the existence of the beings of this planet earth.

At the very same time the world is going through a tough situation created by the

unexpected outbreak of the pandemic.

We are experiencing restrictions, control fear and all kind of inconveniences that limits

our freedom of life.

The unbearable feel of nothingness and loneliness establishing our helplessness.

We are not even free to be with our loved ones.

Social life is locked. We are in a world of indefinite darkness caused by the loss of life

our fellow beings around us.

These works are of the year 2020 and 2021, of the period we experienced the severity of

the pandemic in the locked in days.

And it's natural that all these facts are reflective in my works!
