CHO nan-young

Painter born in South Korea in 1971.

After studying Art in Seoul, Korea, she lives and works in France.

My paintings are situated between the real and the imaginary and are based on emotions of everyday life, memories. 

I watch and write down the everyday, as if I were describing in my diary a moment in my life. 

It is possible that this scene has to do with my life, but it can also be with what is similar in the life of the other, because all this is “our life”. 

From this “familiarity” of everyday life, I create a painting by adding my personality: 

it is by drawing an expanded fabric that provokes curiosity, which attracts, by adding a poetic charm to a “familiar” image.
