【Well-known Artist-Cuba】Yudit Vidal Faife

Yudit Vidal Faife

Born in 1979, Trinidad, Cuba.

Yudit Vidal Faife graduated from the Fine Arts University (ISA), Havana 2008 in Visual Arts - Restoration and Conservation.

She’s the Ambassador of Peace for the International Circle of Peace in France and Switzerland.

Her unique technique is based on drawing with charcoal, oil or acrylic on top of a canvas made of embroideries or crochet. What drives her inspiration is to put in the light on women of all times and background. For Yudit, women are symbolic of strength and beauty. She’s a leader in Cuba among a group of 17 women weaving cotton or linen fabric. Through her pieces she wishes to show that no matter where you come from, as a woman, you can pursue your dreams.

Her Work of Art has represented Cuba in International Events such as, the United Nations-NYC, Reina Sofía Museum-Madrid. Some pieces are part of the Collection from the Cuban Art Museum in Vienna-Austria, as well as the Benetton. International Project  “ImagoMundi”.

It belongs to the catalogue of Genesis and Artists from the Artex project “Art at Home” in Cuba. She has exhibited her pictures in different countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, Ecuador, Austria, U.S.A., Romania, Netherlands, Argentina, México, Venezuela, Panamá, India, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Canada and others.
