【Well-known Artist-the Dominican Republic】Odalis Lugo
Odalis Lugo
Born in the City of Barahona, Dominican Republic.
He studied Arts, at the School of Fine Arts of the Dominican Republic ENAV, and then went on to study Plastic Arts in the City of Bellinzona Switzerland in (1992). He has made six (6) individual exhibitions and more than one hundred (100) National group exhibitions, in his country and with more than thirty (50) International Collective exhibitions in New York, Ecuador, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Galicia, Malaga, France, Libya, Egypt, South Korea, India.
His painting is abstract and figurative, his technique is varied, his painting has been defined with strong chromatic contrast with cold and warm colors, he has been classified as one of the best colorists in his country, in his painting he expresses, the coexistence between the color and shape.
He is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Dominican College of Plastic Artists CODAP in his country and Founding Director of the Dominican Pinceladas Artistic Collective.
He currently works as a Plastic Artist and Art teacher.
The artist Odalis Lugo presents the works of his authorship, entitled: Series Evolution Conspicuous.
Works done in an abstract style, on canvas and acrylic, with a lot of color and strength, with it he expresses the inner strength that he perceives when he appreciates our Caribbean climate day by day in front of our magnificent summer sun.
